Historical Realism Gun Sounds V1.12

New:

-Supports 0.8.1

-Added british gun sounds.

-Fixed the issue with some guns not having sound.

-Added more tracers.

-Added instructions

EDIT: Crabtr33 just made a fix for the missing tracers before I could upload mine.

    I like your mod but IMO the guns sound way too maffled (not loud, dont feel powerfull something like that.)

    Same problem as the other versions... :(
    I don't hear any gun shot sound but shots on ground yes...

    CRAP !!!

      res/audio folder succesfully copied/pasted in res_mods/0.8.1/
      script folder put on res_mods/0.8.1 as well

      Maybe is there a problem with scripts's position on folders ?

      I remembed well I was using the last FH2 mod (R.I.P. FH2 engine mod... :( ), his gun sounds worked well and were great. Then I installed the HRGS v1.0, it worked fine... until a day when with no reason he stopped to play well.

    I tried your mod and sounds are beautiful, except one. When I fire with my E-75 the gun makes a strange noise, like a rubber band breaking.
    I would like to replace your E-75 gun sound with the original one but I don't find the right .fsb... I put originals gun_large_115-152mm.fsb & gun_large_115-152mm_mb.fsb to replace your ones but it doens't fix my gun sound.

    I don't know if I explain well my "problem".

      Unfortunately, the sounds will "brake" if I amplify them, or there won't be much difference at all. :(

      Tried it with some sounds, and they just turned out to be a failure, as it made too much cracking and didn't change much in volume.

      Strange that if you amplify them it'll "brake", it seems their is some margin...

      Maybe the balance with all other sounds... (Right after some try, I'd to cut down to 50% vehicle sounds)

      Or maybe some bass...?

      It is like that with the normal in game sounds, I had to turn down general volume relative to the guns to stop it sounding like a popgun.

      To have something correct I turn my volume on :
      Music 33%
      Voice 66%
      Vehicle 33%
      Effects 100%
      Interface 66%
      Ambiance 66%

      With this settings i approach something correct :X

    I like the sounds still, but they lack a lot of blast to them and they are in poor quality.

    Loving the sounds.
    But since 8.1, every time I try to install the sounds I also lose visible tracers in game. I've narrowed it down to this mod. It's the only one that does this.

    Sound from firing the best gun on IS-3 is correct ? For me its to low, should have more powa ?

    I installed it according to the instructions, but the gun sounds are not affected at all? Traveling shells, bounces and explosions are different though.

      Backup your scripts folder, delete it and try to add the scripts from the download again.

      Hello.
      1. Copy the audio and scripts file from res in the res_mods/0.8.1.
      2. Extract the files from the mod in the res_mods/0.8.1 overwriting as needed (yes to all).
      I hope that helped. Have fun.

    Nice Soundmod.
    But dont like many new Sounds.
    Ver.1.1 was far better.
    Play only E50M and the new Gunsound are Crappy :(
    Can we get the old back plz :)

    10.5 KwK45 L52 Ausf.K in 1.11 it was great Sound now make only Noise Pfff :(

    To make the game work whilst your waiting for an update, rename the scripts folder to something else in your res_mods/0.8.2 folder.
